There are many reasons why you are seeking couples counselling but I can assure you my aim is to provide a safe and confidential space in which we can work together on issues that matter to you while meeting your needs as an individual and as a couple.
I will not tell you what to do. I will not give you the answers; instead, I will facilitate change and help to bring about resolution by helping communication between you both.
When we've been in a relationship for a long time we can fall into the trap of not listening to what the other partner is saying or not expressing our needs and wants clearly. What I offer you is the opportunity to speak with someone without preconceived ideas of who you are as a couple and to help you to find better ways to communicate with each other.
Make it or Brake it
As sessions progress you might find solutions to your problems or you decide that it's time to part ways.
Either way, I am here to help you reflect on your past and how it lead to where you are both now and to negotiate and resolve conflict.
Make a Plan
Every couple is different and the help you'll need will depend on the nature of the issues you're facing.
Some common issues that we can explore might range from lack of trust and affairs to financial issues and family conflicts.
This list is not exhaustive and and every couple's situation is a unique one.
Whatever your concerns are, speaking with a couples counsellor is often the best way forward.
